Sony Pictures has released the trailer for its upcoming comedy movie No Hard Feelings, starring Jennifer Lawrence.
Directed by Gene Stupnitsky, the film revolves around Maddie, a young woman who – desperate to earn money rapidly and save her childhood home – answers two helicopter parents’ Craigslist ad to sleep with their sheltered 19-year-old son, Percy, before he goes to college.
The cast also includes includes Andrew Barth Feldman as Percy, Matthew Broderick as his father, Laura Benanti as his mother, plus Natalie Morales, Hasan Minhaj, Kyle Mooney, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Scott MacArthur and more.
The trailer gives viewers a glimpse at the challenges Maddie faces while trying to date Percy. One of the scenes shows her approaching Percy at a dog adoption center, where he volunteers, asking “Mind if I touch your wiener?”. The youngster is left speechless but it soon turns out he’s holding a Dachshund wiener dog. Other attempts to sleep with him include skinny dipping, taking him out and giving him a “Long Island ice tea” and even “kidnapping” him in a van. However, this last endeavor ends really badly for her as she’s getting pepper sprayed in the face.
The song used in the trailer is Nicki Minaj’s single “Super Freaky Girl”.
“No Hard Feelings” opens in theaters on June 23.
