Liquid Death Iced Tea Grandma's Energy Drink Commercial - Feat. Grannies Playing Death Metal

Liquid Death promotes its new range of canned Iced Tea in a new commercial.

The spot, titled “Your Grandma’s Energy Drink” and directed by Jackass director Jeff Tremaine, features multiple old ladies doing all kinds of things after being energized by the Liquid Death Iced Tea. At first, two of them splash head-to-toe a guy who dared to mock Liquid Death for its Iced Tea, saying “C’mon Liquid Death, this is like my grandma’s energy drink”. It soon turns out that the liquid they used comes through a tube from a port-a-potty. The grannies are then shown playing death metal in a basement, skating a handrail and cheering on each other, having fun on a rooftop by setting off fireworks from their underwear and even fighting in the boxing ring.

“Don’t be scared. It’s just iced tea” onscreen lines read at the end of the advertisement, which showcases the three flavors available in the Iced Tea lineup – Rest in Peach, Grim Leafer, and Armless Palmer.

The song playing in the commercial is Go Out of Business by Liquid Death.

The beverage, coming into recyclable aluminum cans with limited edition art on the bottom of each case, contains 30 calories, 6g of sugar from real agave, 30mg of natural caffeine, and is enhanced with B vitamins.
