Allstate encourages home owners to get the right home coverage and be better protected from Mayhem in its latest ad, starring Dean Winters as Mayhem.
This time, the wreak-havoc character is the sizzle in a teenage boy’s “promposal”, which lights up the girl’s house. Kyle came up with the idea of using lit candles to write “PROM?” under Stacey’s window, but – as Mayhem anticipated – “while Romeo over here is trying to look cool, things are about to heat up” and “sparks are gonna fly”. A candle causes a fire that, luckily, gets immediately extinguished by Stacey’s father.
Winters’ character points out that, if you don’t have the right home insurance coverage, you could end up paying for all this yourself, and urges viewers to get Allstate and be better protected by Mayhem, like him.
In other ads, Winters personified a mouse that appeared in a family’s home the night before Christmas and scared the mother, who not only uttered a shout but also took a pillow and threw it by mistake into the nicely adorned Christmas tree, a groom’s football-obsessed best man who explains to the groom that having his big day during the Big Game is the worst, and the captain of the Pee Wee football team.
Winters returned as Mayhem to the screens in January 2022, for the first time since June 2020.
