McDonald’s Own Your McSpicy Face Advert Song

McDonald’s UK urges you to “Own your McSpicy Face” in its latest advert, for the Spicy Chicken Burger.

The spot, part of the chain’s new “Own Your McSpicy Face” campaign, which centres on the creative insight that everyone has that face they pull when they eat something spicy, features a diverse cast of individuals doing various weird faces which – it turns out later – are due to the McSpicy Chicken Burger they have been eating. A woman at a bus stop, a man in his car, in the restaurant parking lot, a drummer, and more – are all shown owning their spicy face as they are tucking into their McSpicy, made with 100% chicken breast and a spicy crispy coating.

At the end of the advertisement, which is set to the tune of “Coming In Hot” by Lecrae & Andy Mineo, the voiceover announces that the McSpicy is here to stay.

The spot will be shown across TV, VOD and cinema for six weeks and will be supported by display, press and OOH.

This fun, humorous campaign builds on the brilliant insight that everyone pulls a face when they eat something spicy – why not celebrate that, and call on the nation to own their ‘McSpicy faces’,” Thomas O’Neill, head of marketing, food and beverages at McDonald’s UK & Ireland said in a press statement.
