Jeep Super Bowl Electric Boogie Commercial - Feat. Dancing Baby Goat

Jeep joined the roster of companies running ads during this year’s Super Bowl and revived a reggae mega hit for its own ad.

The automaker’s Big Game spot showcases the Wrangler 4xe and Grand Cherokee 4xe in a variety of simulated off-road situations, juxtaposed with images of various species from across the animal kingdom, such as a bear, owls, a cobra, dolphins, and more, that start dancing when seeing the electrified off-roaders and hearing “Electric Boogie” playing in the background.

The modernized re-recording, which marks the 40th anniversary of the original song, originally recorded by Jamaican reggae singer Marcia Griffiths and widely released in 1983, features Grammy winner Shaggy, Jamila Falak, Amber Lee, and Moyann.

Jeep, which has acquired international rights to the new “Electric Boogie” for use when the ad airs worldwide, also announced that the track is available on streaming platforms starting February 12.

The brand also invites fans from around the world to join the Electric Slide movement on TikTok with dancers across the platform, tagging #Jeep4xeBoogieWoogie.

“I’m honored to have the opportunity to produce a new, updated version of this iconic song. I grew up hearing ‘Electric Boogie’ often; it was a family favorite in my household. The version performed by yet another legend, Marcia Griffiths (formally of I-Threes – the background singers with Bob Marley and the Wailers) and remixed by the Miami Sound Machine became a worldwide hit,” said Shaggy in a press release.
