Amazon debuted its Super Bowl ad during the Big Game, on February 12, telling the story of how Amazon helped a family’s beloved dog triumph over loneliness.
The spot features a family of four and their rescue dog, Sawyer, who got lots of treats, love and attention during lockdown, when the family members were forced to work and learn from home. When his family transitions back to the office and he is left home alone, he begins destroying the house while everyone is out. One day, a dog crate (bought from Amazon) appears in the house, but it soon turns out that it’s not for Sawyer, but for another dog the family has rescued. The new pet becomes Sawyer’s best friend and playmate, changing his life for the better.
The commercial, set to the tune of “Love” by Nancy Adams, first aired during Super Bowl LVII on Sunday, February 12.
Amazon’s offering for dogs includes a variety of products, from stain & odor eliminators to clothing, dog beds, dog treats, dog toys, and more.
