The trailer for the upcoming comedy About My Father, starring Robert De Niro, has been released.
Directed by Laura Terruso, the movie revolves around two families from very different backgrounds who bring their personalities together for the Fourth of July weekend. De Niro and Sebastian Maniscalco play Italian father and son duo, Salvo and Sebastian, who go, with Sebastian’s fiancée, played by Leslie Bibb, at her parents’ mansion for the special weekend.
According to the official synopsis, despite their differences, the two groups will find a way to come together and celebrate the things that make them special and that bond them together as a “family.”
The cast also includes Kim Cattrall, Anders Holm, Brett Dier, and David Rasche.
The trailer, filled with hilarious scenes, gives viewers a glimpse at what happens during the weekend, showing what happens when the two cultures clash.
The songs playing in the trailer are “Only in America” by Jay & The Americans and “Give a Little Bit” By Roger Hodgson.
About My Father will be released in theaters this spring, on May 26.
