Wendy’s Hot & Crispy Fries Friday Commercial

Wendy’s has released a new commercial to promote its Hot & Crispy Fries.

The spot opens with a Wendy’s representative declaring that Wendy’s fries are always hot and crispy so Toby, one of her coworkers, says every day is now Friday.

At the end of the commercial, the voiceover urges consumers to try Wendy’s Hot & Crispy Fries, mentioning that they are preferred almost two to one over McDonald’s.

This is not the first ad featuring Toby. In a previous one, he says “High Fry’ve” every single time he fulfills an order.

Wendy’s president Kurt Kane revealed, in a press statement, the secret for their Hot & Crispy Fries, explaining that they’ve balanced the cut of the fry and “kept a little bit of the skin of the potato on the fry to be able to drive flavor.” They have also used “a batter system that allows us to be able to maintain crispiness, both when they’re fresh and hot out of the fryer as well as several minutes later”.
