Global superstar Anitta stars in a new commercial for Lay’s, part of the brand’s “Stay Golden” campaign, which celebrates the joy of the Latino community.
The ad shows the Latin Grammy-nominated singer sharing Classic-flavored Lay’s chips with some of the dancers surrounding her. Clad in colorful outfits, the dancers perform a choreography to the rhythms of a remixed version of Anitta’s single “Envolver”.
According to the brand, the track has been recorded in a studio using electricity produced by more than 6,000 potatoes, which represents a new Guinness World Records title.
Anitta was described as “one of the most authentic and electric voices in the music industry” by Stacy Taffet, senior vice president of marketing at Frito-Lay, who said that “she personifies the ‘Stay Golden’ mentality and empowers those around her to do the same.” Taffet also declared that “Many multi-ethnic voices and experts powered the creation of this spot, which shares how a bit of fresh thinking and optimism can turn a little disappointment into a shared moment of joy.”
