FedEx promotes its new service, picture proof of delivery, in a new commercial.
The spot features a teacher named Mr. Harvey working with a bunch of students for the Winter Play at school. One day, he and the kids were shocked to discover that their costumes disappeared (what really happened is that a cleaning worker threw them away by mistake, when the costumes were in garbage bags). Mr. Harvey and the children’s parents tried to come up with a solution and they eventually managed to find replacement costumes.
Luckily, those replacement costumes have been shipped with FedEx, delivered on time, and the children were able to perform on stage, just like they had planned.
The ad also shows how Mr. Harvey receives a picture proof of delivery, which is a service provided for residential deliveries without an account or log in required. The service is free, easily accessible through FedEx tracking tools and implies sending customers a photo showing the exact location of their package once it’s delivered to their doorstep.
At the end of the commercial, the voiceover says “FedEx can help you be ready for what’s next”, while the company’s tagline, “Where now meets next”, appears on the screen.
FedEx Express and FedEx Ground are the first nationwide carriers to provide picture proof of delivery without requiring an account or log in for residential deliveries.
