Burger King advertises its new “International Original Chicken Sandwich” range in a dedicated commercial.
The spot showcases the American Original Chicken Sandwich, made with a breaded chicken patty, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and mayonnaise, the Mexican Original Chicken Sandwich, made with a breaded chicken patty, spicy queso sauce and jalapeños, and the Italian Original Chicken Sandwich, made with a breaded chicken patty, mozzarella cheese and marinara sauce. While the American and Italian are a throwback to Burger King menu offerings from the late 1980s, the Mexican Original Chicken Sandwich is brand new. They all have their ingredients on a long sesame seed bun.
The soundtrack music is an original song set to the tune of brand’s iconic “Have it Your Way” jingle, first introduced in the 1970s. The chorus of the catchy song is “You rule, you’re seizing the day at BK. Have it your way!”.
This ad is also part of the fast-food chain’s “You Rule” campaign, which debuted in October 2022 and was described as “a play on the QSR chain’s mascot and famous paper crowns in an effort to deliver the message that Burger King guests are royalty”.
