Rihanna will be the first performer in the rebranded Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show. The award-winning singer stars in a promo for the show, with voiceovers in the background starting to make the announcement. “It’s been 2190 days,” one male voice says in the opening of the trailer, which sees Rihanna wearing an outfit and a hairstyle that represent her style.
“It’s been over six years since the nine-time Grammy winner…” another announcer says. “Riri, where have you been?” another voice asks.
At the end of the trailer, Rihanna’s single “Needed Me” plays.
Past Super Bowl Halftime Show performances include The Weeknd, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Prince, Madonna and more.
Super Bowl LVII will take place on Sunday, February 12 in Glendale, Arizona. The show will be produced by DPS with Roc Nation, Jesse Collins as executive producer and Hamish Hamilton as director.
