Kia Motors promotes its range of electrified cars in a new European campaign, titled “Technology that Moves You”.
Developed in partnership with ad agency Innocean Berlin, film director Dante Ariola, cinematographer Kasper Tuxen, MJZ, and Tony Petersen Films, the commercial aims to shine a light on the effects of today’s technology and the tech features available across the Kia electrified range.
“Moving. When did we stop doing it? When did convenience overcome experience? When did we start watching other people’s stories instead of creating our own? When did a glass box become better than the open air? When did we settle for technology that keeps us still?” the voiceover asks throughout the 60-second ad, which features Kia EVs driving across a city whose inhabitants illustrate all these ideas. Some of them are shown having their eyes glued to screens and various devices, others are shown working out in glass boxes (aka gyms), and a teenager is shown using a VR headset while his father is on the sofa, watching TV.
The commercial ends with the voiceover introducing the automaker’s electrified range and saying the tagline “Technology that moves you”.
The song playing in the background is the 2018 single “Movement” by Irish singer-songwriter Hozier, from his second studio album, “Wasteland, Baby!”. The track is available for purchase on Amazon for $1.29.
