Netflix has released the date announcement trailer for the upcoming Chris Rock comedy special, Selective Outrage, which will also mark the very first live event to stream on Netflix.
The teaser trailer shows Rock, who has won four Emmys for his work in comedy, being announced that “they’re ready for him” and getting on stage, while in the background the song “The Best Is Back” by Bun B is playing.
This is the second stand-up special for Netflix from the Saturday Night Live alum, after 2018’s Tamborine.
“Chris Rock is one of the most iconic and important comedic voices of our generation. We’re thrilled the entire world will be able to experience a live Chris Rock comedy event and be a part of Netflix history. This will be an unforgettable moment and we’re so honored that Chris is carrying this torch,” said Robbie Praw, Netflix Vice President of Stand-up and Comedy Formats.
The new Chris Rock stand-up comedy special, which will take place on March 4, will be available to stream live on Netflix on March 4, 7pm PT/10pm ET.
