Burger King has dropped a new ad to promote its latest deal, which gives consumers the chance to get two meals for $5,99 each when they buy two meals only.
The spot, part of the fast-food chain’s “You Rule” campaign, features two coworkers enjoying a meal in a Burger King restaurant and singing about the fact that they got their favorite burger for $5,99. The song they sing is set to the tune of brand’s iconic “Have it Your Way” jingle, first introduced in the 1970s.
The Classic Whopper Meal and the BK Royal Crispy Chicken Meal can be purchased for $5.99 each when you buy 2 meals. The meals can be the same. Each meal includes a small French fry and a small fountain drink. Price and participation vary.
Described as “a play on the QSR chain’s mascot and famous paper crowns in an effort to deliver the message that Burger King guests are royalty”, the fast-food chain’s new “You Rule” campaign debuted on October 10 and also includes several other ads, featuring an original remix of the “Have it Your Way” jingle, first introduced in the 1970s. The chorus of the catchy song is “You rule, you’re seizing the day at BK. Have it your way!”.
