Amazon has dropped a new ad, inspired by the Netflix film “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery”, to promote its latest streaming device with 4K resolution and hands-free control, called Fire TV Cube.
Titled “The Mysterious Case of the Stolen Fire TV Cube”, the spot features a man who hosts a party in his house and, noticing that his Fire TV Cube is missing, doesn’t hesitate to ask his guests who stole it. “Who stole my new lightning-fast voice-controlled, super awesome streaming device?” he asks, seeing clues everywhere and a thief in each of his fellows.
The spot ends with a teenage girl using the Fire TV Cube to ask Alexa to play the Netflix movie “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery”, streaming globally on Fire TV December 23rd.
Viewers who pay attention to the ad can see how the crime is committed and can also notice a range of Easter eggs and nods to the film.
The all-new Amazon Fire TV Cube features Wi-Fi 6E support for smooth streaming, a new octa-core 2.0 GHz processor, the brand’s fastest streaming media player ever, 4K Ultra HD and additional ports, including a HDMI port so you can connect and control other entertainment devices with just your voice, USB-A 2.0 for added storage, and Ethernet port 10/100 Mbps for wired access. The device is available for purchase on Amazon starting from $139.99.
