Wendy’s promotes its new Peppermint Frosty in a hilarious new ad.
The 15-second spot features a Wendy’s team of workers looking at an old man enjoying a Peppermint Frosty and having an argument over his appearance, due to the fact that he’s looking like Santa. “That is definitely him!” one of the employees declares, staring at the customer. “Dude, that’s just a guy taking a little break with the new Peppermint Frosty,” one of his coworkers says. At this point, the first employee decides to go to him and clarify if it’s him or not. How? By taking a seat in his lap. After saying “Hello”, the man asks the Santa lookalike if he can sit and, without waiting for an answer, sits in his lap.
At the end of the commercial, the Peppermint Frosty is shown alongside the Classic Chocolate Frosty. The newest limited-edition Peppermint flavor is Wendy’s first-ever holiday Frosty and only the third Frosty flavor ever introduced by the fast food giant in the past 16 years.
The tasty winter treat is available to purchase at the chain’s stores and on the mobile app.
Consumers who purchase a Wendy’s Frosty Key Tag, for just $2 at participating locations, via the mobile app, or in bulk on the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption (DTFA) website, have a chance to win 365 days of free Jr. Frosty treats in 2023. Proceeds from the sale of Frosty Key Tags support Wendy’s “commitment to finding safe, loving, and permanent homes for children in foster care by partnering with the DTFA”.
