Waitrose Christmas Advert Song – It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Waitrose Christmas Advert - It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Waitrose celebrates the care and effort that its partners and real farmers put in to make sure customers have what they need for Christmas in its holiday 2022 advert.

The spot, titled “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas” and scored by the Bing Crosby track by the same name, features a cast of real-life Waitrose suppliers working in all weather conditions throughout the year to get things ready for the Christmas dinner table.

Some of them are shown smashing through the ice over a drinking trough, others are shown picking grapes and making wine, others are shown raising pigs in rainy February, others are shown cutting sprouts in the depths of November, farmers are shown working through the hot summer to get their crops ready, and more.

At the end of the spot, a delivery driver is shown depositing a crate of Waitrose products to a home at Christmas time. At dinner, a little boy is getting upset because all the pigs in blankets are gone. Luckily for him, his sister has one left and decides to give it to him.

The advert previously included a scene in which two farmers compared their tanned arms from working outside, but the supermarket chain cut it out and apologized after skin cancer charity Melanoma UK and viewers raised concerns that the ad failed to highlight the dangers of sun exposure.
