Grubhub $0 Delivery Fee for Amazon Prime Members Commercial - Feat. Parents of Newborn Baby

Grubhub promotes its newest deal, valid for Amazon Prime members, which gives them one year of free Grubhub, in a new commercial.

The spot features a father holding his newborn baby in his arms and paying attention to not wake him up once he falls asleep. Asked by his wife if he is hungry, he says he is “sooo hungry”. The mom orders his favorite food through Grubhub and feeds him by throwing samosas into his mouth.

Actually, she doesn’t manage to throw it right into his mouth, but at least she tries, in her attempt to not disturb the baby and enjoy the moment of peace and quiet for as long as possible. The two decide to have their usual (samosas with sauce on the side, while watching a Prime show and the baby sleeps) at the same time the day after.

The commercial concludes with an onscreen line informing that Amazon Prime members now get $0 delivery fees.

However, users must link Amazon Prime and Grubhub accounts for $0 delivery fees through Grubhub+. These fees are applicable on Grubhub orders of $12+ from GH+ restaurants only. Grubhub+ is an automatically renewing membership service requiring recurring payments. After the free trial will convert to a paid GH+ membership and Grubhub will automatically charge members each month at the then current rate.

The song playing in the Grubhub commercial is “Also sprach Zarathustra” composed in 1896 by Richard Strauss.
