U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has released a new commercial, titled “Can’t Wait”, which encourages people to talk to a doctor and seek treatment right away in case they have COVID symptoms.
“Waiting. Sometimes it’s just inevitable. But if you’re over 50 or live with a chronic condition, waiting can be deadly. Because conditions like heart diseases and diabetes raise your risk of serious illness or death from untreated COVID. And if you don’t get treatment within days you may not be able to get treatment,” the voiceover says in the 30-second ad, urging viewers to get tested and treated right away if they have COVID symptoms, pointing out that “it can’t wait”.
