Disney continues the story from their previous Christmas adverts in its Christmas 2022 commercial.
After last year’s “The Stepdad” spot, in this one, which celebrates the magic and joy of family, festive traditions, and creating new memories, Nicole (the mother) is pregnant and goes into labor right before Christmas, while they are putting up their decorations. Her daughter doesn’t seem very delighted by the idea that her mom is going to have a baby, but when she returns from the hospital with him she welcomes him home by giving him her favorite Mickey Mouse toy.
The spot – the last of three parts to the Christmas story, which started back in 2020 – features the song “A Little More”, performed by Encanto actress Jessica Darrow.
Throughout the advert, Disney fans get the chance to spot hidden “Easter Eggs”, including those created by children in partnership with their longstanding charity partner Make-A-Wish. Disney encourages fans all over the world to donate to Make-A-Wish and they will match all qualifying donations up to $100,000.
