Tourism Australia has launched a new global campaign, titled “Come and Say G’day”, to encourage travelers to book their next big holiday to Australia.
The campaign film, which is the next installment of Tourism Australia’s “There’s Nothing Like Australia” global brand platform, introduces two lovable CGI animated characters – Ruby, a souvenir kangaroo, voiced by Australian actor Rose Byrne, and Louie, a toy unicorn, voiced by actor Will Arnett, representing international visitors. Ruby and Louie embark on a journey together and explore everything Australia has to offer. They visit Green Island, Sydney, Maria Island, Kangaroo Island, Nitmiluk National Park and Uluru Kata-Tjuta National Park and, from colourful reefs to wandering wombats and every laidback local in between, they discover there really is nothing like Australia.
Serving as soundtrack is a re-interpretation of the classic Australian anthem Down Under, by up-and-coming band King Stingray, who sing in both English and YolÅ‹u Matha – an Indigenous language from North East Arnhem Land, Northern Territory.
The campaign also includes print and high-impact out-of-home creative, social, digital, editorial and partner advertising.
