The North Face has launched its Fall/Winter 2022 campaign, “It’s More Than a Jacket”, with an emotional film, that celebrates the history and heritage of the brand’s iconic arsenal of jackets.
The 90-second commercial features a montage of videos featuring various people – including The North Face athletes Alex Honnold, Jimmy Chin, and Ingrid Backstrom, and American ski mountaineer Hilaree Nelson, who was the captain of The North Face Athlete team, designers Mark Erickson and Angelo Baque, and cultural icons such as Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA – doing different sports or simply enjoying the beauty of nature, alone or in the company of friends, clad in North Face jackets.
The music in the ad is a re-recording of the hit song “The Story”, performed by GRAMMY Award-nominated recording artist Japanese Breakfast.
One of the new collections released by the brand is its first-ever circular collection, which includes conscious choices designed to minimize waste. There are pieces for men, women, and youth, ranging from jackets to quarter zip fleece, pants, and a unisex beanie. The all-fleece pieces are made of 100% recycled polyester, and are available for purchase online and in stores, since October 6, 2022.
