Target promotes Marvel Studios’ upcoming Black Panther movie “Wakanda Forever” with a dedicated commercial, that raises the question “How will you share your brilliance with the world?”.
The retailer has released, for the moment, just a teaser, that features Dominique Thorne, the actress who plays Riri Williams in the movie, building something. “Wakanda showed us all that nothing is impossible. So how will you share your brilliance with the world?” the voiceover asks in the 15-second video, which also shows Thorne’s character heading to a Target store to buy some more supplies for her creation, which seems to be an upgraded armour suit.
For those who don’t know, Riri Williams is a teenage genius who made a major first impression by building her own version of Tony Stark’s Iron Man suit, and has her own comic book series.
The teaser ends with the narrator urging viewers to see the full story on October 16 and watch Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” in theaters November 11.
The soundtrack music is the 2018 song I Got the Juice by Janelle Monáe, featuring Pharrell Williams, from her “Dirty Computer” album.
Target is not the only brand promoting the new Black Panther movie. GEICO and Lexus have also released dedicated ads to raise awareness on the theater premiere of this film.
