Ryan Gosling stars in Gucci’s “Gucci Valigeria” campaign, envisioned by Alessandro Michele and captured by Glen Luchford.
The 2-minute campaign film, which showcases the House’s travel selection, follows Gosling as he traverses time and space, setting off from a motel to the beach, and coming across the unknown thanks to a trunk that becomes a gateway to fantastical worlds. Along his way, he carries with him a variety of vintage luggage pieces, as well as pieces from the current Gucci Savoy collection with emblematic elements like the GG monogram and Web stripe, from trolleys to hard and soft suitcases, duffle bags, trunks, hat boxes, and beauty cases.
The soundtrack music is Magic Man, a song by the American rock band Heart released as a single in 1976 in the US and is included on their debut album, “Dreamboat Annie”.
Trolleys range in size from cabin-friendly up to a maxi 90cm version and are available in GG Supreme in beige/brown, beige/blue, and beige/ivory colorways with the green-red-green or blue-red-blue Web stripe and leather trims. The duffle bag selection is also varied, ranging from smaller versions for daily use to larger ones ideal for weekend trips or as carry-ons. Styles come in various colorways with some featuring distinctive details like leather trims and studs. The lineup also encompasses additional new silhouettes like bowling bags, bowling totes, and box totes, as well as garment bags, watch cases, and vanity cases. The collection also features hard-sided items, such as trunks, suitcases, hat boxes, beauty, watches, and jewelry cases, all finely crafted and distinguished by either the House’s GG monogram and/or the equestrian-inspired Web stripe.
