Kia highlights that “No destination is too far and no road is off limits with the all-new Kia Niro Hybrid” in its latest ad for the hybrid SUV, which boasts a class-leading EPA-estimated 53 MPG combined.
The spot features a man who, after finding a sapling in the city, growing from in between the sidewalk and cobblestone pavement, takes it to its natural home. The man puts the plant in the passenger’s seat and drives his 2023 Kia Niro HEV SX to a remote wooded area, in the mountains. On their journey, which is quite long, he is shown taking good care of it, and, several years later, coming back to that place and finding it grown as a small tree.
The commercial, scored by an emotional song, ends with the onscreen lines “Farther for all. All-new Kia Niro Hybrid. Best-in-class 53 MPG combined.” Eventually, the voiceover says the automaker’s tagline, “Movement that inspires”.
