Netflix has dropped a teaser trailer for the third season of its hit series Outer Banks, announcing that it will be released in 2023.
Created by Jonas Pate, Josh Pate, and Shannon Burke, who will all return as showrunners and executive producers, Outer Banks is a coming-of-age story that follows a tight-knit group of local teens, aka the Pogues, who are in over the heads as they hunt for treasure. The series stars Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, J.D. and Rudy Pankow.
The trailer, scored by the 2020 song “All My Dreams” by The Heavy Heavy, from their “Life and Life Only” album, gives viewers a glimpse at what’s coming next, without revealing too much, though. The action picks up for the Pogues on a beautiful beach with coconuts and azure blue waters and viewers get to see a wild beast that chases the Pogues across the island. “Nothing good comes easy, nothing worthy is given,” viewers are told via voiceover, which also raises the questions “What are you willing to do to win?” and “How far do you go to keep your treasure?”
Returning talent includes Austin North, Charles Esten and Carlacia Grant. Andy McQueen, Fiona Palomo and Lou Ferrigno Jr. will be joining the cast in the upcoming season.
The trailer announces that the third season of Outer Banks will be released in 2023, but it does not mention any date.
