Netflix Series: Devil in Ohio - Trailer Actors

Netflix has released the trailer for its upcoming horror miniseries Devil in Ohio, adapted from Daria Polatin’s best-selling book inspired by a true story.

Described as “a thrilling, shocking tale of demonic mayhem and mystery in the heart of small-town America”, the series revolves around hospital psychiatrist Dr. Suzanne Mathis (Emily Deschanel), who shelters a mysterious cult escapee (Madeleine Arthur) after seeing her at the hospital. However, her world is soon turned upside down as the strange girl’s arrival threatens to tear her own family apart.

The cast also includes Sam Jaeger as Peter, Gerardo Celasco as Detective Lopez, Madeleine Arthur as Mae, Xaria Dotson as Jules, Alisha Newton as Helen, Naomi Tan as Dani, and more.

The trailer shows how Deschanel’s character, Dr. Mathis, sees the terrified girl in the hospital and welcomes her into her house. Her husband is reluctant to this idea and, as time passes by, he starts an investigation into the girl’s disappearance. He thus finds out that she is actually an important member of a cult who was able to escape and realizes thus that his family is in danger.

The song used in the trailer is the 2015 single “Robotboys Return” by Robotboys, from their “Imaginary” album. The track is available for purchase on Amazon for $0.99.

Devil in Ohio, created and executive produced by Daria Polatin, who also serves as the showrunner, will be launched on Netflix September 2.
