Warner Bros. has released the trailer for its upcoming movie “Shazam! Fury of the Gods”, which continues the story of teenage Billy Batson who, upon reciting the magic word “SHAZAM!,” is transformed into his adult Super Hero alter ego, Shazam.
Directed by David F. Sandberg, the film is a sequel to the 2019’s Shazam!, and stars returning cast members Zachary Levi as Shazam, Asher Angel as Billy Batson, Jack Dylan Grazer as Freddy Freeman, Adam Brody as Super Hero Freddy, Ross Butler as Super Hero Eugene, Meagan Good as Super Hero Darla, D.J. Cotrona as Super Hero Pedro; Grace Caroline Currey as Mary Bromfield / Super Hero Mary, Faithe Herman as Darla Dudley, Ian Chen as Eugene Choi, Jovan Armand as Pedro Pena, Marta Milans as Rosa Vasquez, Cooper Andrews as Victor Vasquez, Djimon Hounsou as Wizard. Joining the cast are Rachel Zegler, with Lucy Liu and Helen Mirren.
The trailer gives viewers a glimpse at the events and shows Helen Mirren as one of the villains, while in the background “Business” by Eminem, off the rapper’s 2002 album “The Eminem Show”, plays.
“Shazam! Fury of the Gods” is set to open in theaters internationally beginning on 15 December 2022 and in North America on December 21, 2022.
