Gucci has launched the campaign film for its Gucci Resort campaign, from creative director Alessandro Michele.
The spot presents the collection in a surreal and playful way, with various pieces, such as tote bags and sunglasses, becoming part of the landscape in various holiday destinations, including Miami, Okinawa, Capri, Athens, Jeju and Cancun. These items, however, are huge in comparison with the other things that form the background.
The video also shows beach-goers bringing larger-than-life energy to the frozen-in-time scenes as “a reminder that unexpected stories are still to be discovered even in the most familiar places,” according to the House.
The soundtrack music is “Black Mamba” by Shockwave-Sound. The song, included on the 2011 album “Out on the Road”, is available for purchase on Amazon for $0.99.
The Gucci Resort Collection, which transforms the vacation wardrobe into a travel diary of sorts, includes pieces in vibrant color combinations unique to the world’s top coastal spots.
