GUCCI’s Creative Director Alessandro Michele has envisioned a special campaign to mark the launch of the collection combining the codes of two historic brands, adidas x Gucci.

The 60-second campaign film, for which Michele took inspiration directly from an archival 1979 adidas catalogue, features a diverse cast of energetic individuals stretching, running, and dancing who are shown in voiceover sharing their thoughts.

“It’s human nature to want to know what’s around the corner. So, I keep looking!” a man’s voice says. “Everything, everybody. All the time,” a woman says. “I live on that fine line between genius and obsession,” another man says.
Among the pieces showcased throughout the video are adidas x Gucci women’s Gazelle sneaker, adidas x Gucci baseball hat, adidas x Gucci cotton jersey sweatshirt, and more.

The soundtrack is provided by Taana Gardner’s “Heartbeat (Club Version) (2016 – Remaster)”.

The adidas x Gucci collection merges the emblems of the House with those of the iconic sportswear brand and includes sport-inspired pieces in which the heritage of both brands is encoded in a trio of lines.

Launched at the Milan fashion show in September 2021, the collection is available for purchase online and in stores starting June 7.
