Disney+ has released a promo for its upcoming original movie Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers.
Directed by Akiva Schaffer from a script by Dan Gregor and Doug Mand, the film revolves around the two famous fellows who are living amongst cartoons and humans in modern-day Los Angeles. However, their lives are quite different now. According to the official synopsis, “It has been decades since their successful television series was canceled, and Chip (voiced by John Mulaney) has succumbed to a life of suburban domesticity as an insurance salesman. Dale (voiced by Adam Sandberg), meanwhile, has had CGI surgery and works the nostalgia convention circuit, desperate to relive his glory days. When a former castmate mysteriously disappears, Chip and Dale must repair their broken friendship and take on their Rescue Rangers detective personas once again to save their friend’s life”.
The voice talent also includes KiKi Layne, Will Arnett, Eric Bana, Flula Borg, Dennis Haysbert, Keegan-Michael Key, Tress MacNeille, Tim Robinson, Seth Rogen, J.K. Simmons, and Chris Parnell.
The promo shows how Chip and Dale team up again when they find out that there are six missing Toons in one month and detectives have got any clue. The challenges they need to face are quite impressive, judging by the footage, which is scored by Saweetie’s 2021 single “Best Friend” featuring Doja Cat. Included on the rapper’s debut album, “Pretty Bitch Music”, the song is available for purchase on Amazon for $0.69.
Chip n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers will be released on Disney+ on May 20.
