Tequila brand 1800 has enlisted Kali Uchis to advertise its new Cristalino expression, which “invites viewers to turn everyday moments into special celebrations by reaching for a higher level of taste”.
The spot, directed by Jenn Nkiru (who has recently won a Grammy for her work on Beyoncé’s “Brown Skin Girl” music video), features the Grammy award-winner singer-songwriter waiting in a bar until she decides to grab a bottle of 1800 Cristalino from a shelf. At that moment, a door opens in front of her and she enters a place where a luxurious party is taking place.
Serving as soundtrack is a remix of Uchis’ single “Telepatía” from her first Spanish album, “Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios)”.
“I play a risk-taker who defies the traditional bar scene to find my own celebration with like-minded people, dancing the night away to a new remix of Telepatia,” Uchis said in a press release.
