Volvo has released a series of new ads for its XC90 Recharge Plug-in Hybrid.
One of them focuses on the Pure mode and highlights that this car is made for your family and their future.
The 30-second ad features a family on a road trip, enjoying a ride along a wind farm. Noticing how his daughters look at the wind turbines through the sunroof, the dad, who’s at the wheel, decides to change the driving mode and activate the Pure Mode (passing thus from Hybrid mode).
“The car you trust to protect them, now helps the protect their future” an onscreen line reads at the end of the commercial, which also informs that the XC90 Recharge Plug-in Hybrid features a range of up to 35 miles in Pure Mode.
The song used in the ad is the 2021 single “On Your Side” by American indie pop group Wet, from their “Letter Blue” album. The song is available for purchase on Amazon for $1.29.
The Pure Mode uses the electric motor only, with the lowest possible energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions. Pure helps provide the lowest possible consumption even when the hybrid battery is fully discharged. ECO climate is activated to control the climate in the passenger compartment, and in slippery road conditions slightly more wheel spin may be permitted before the all-wheel drive is automatically activated.
