Sour Patch Kids promoted its new mystery flavor in a commercial featuring a college student.
The spot shows the young man being dragged to the floor by the sour patch kids and, when he is asked to give the answer to a question he hasn’t heard, being helped by them to get out of this situation.
“They are sour. And then they are sweet. Sour Patch Kids,” the voiceover says at the end of the 15-second commercial, adding the tagline “Sour. Sweet. Gone”.
Viewers are also informed that the Sour Patch Kids are now available with a mystery flavor. Fans could submit their guess at the brand’s website for a chance to win $50000. The mystery flavor was Banana Cream Pie.
