Paramount Pictures has released the trailer for its upcoming animated film “Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank”.
According to the official synopsis, the movie revolves around a “hard-on-his-luck hound named Hank (voiced by Michael Cera), who finds himself in a town full of cats who need a hero to defend them from a ruthless villain’s (Ricky Gervais) evil plot to wipe their village off the map”. “With help from a reluctant teacher (Samuel L. Jackson) to train him, our underdog must assume the role of town samurai and team up with the villagers to save the day. The only problem… cats hate dogs!” the plot also reads.
The voice talent also includes Mel Brooks, George Takei, Aasif Mandvi, Gabriel Iglesias, Djimon Hounsou, Michelle Yeoh, Kylie Kuioka, and Cathy Shim.
The trailer reveals quite a lot, starting from the moments Hank decides to become a samurai to the moment he meets “the best samurai ever”, samurai cat Jimbo, who is initially reluctant to help him on his quest, to the training sessions he undergoes in order to become a samurai and defeat the villain.
“Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank” is scheduled to release only in theaters on July 15, 2022.
