IKEA UK aims to inspire people to switch off from stress and “Let Play Unwind Your Mind” in its latest advert.
The spot, directed by Alaska, features a woman playing ping-pong at home, with her husband and their daughter, using the RONNINGE extendable table from IKEA (£299). In another scene, she escapes life’s worries by starting playing hopscotch on her HEMMAHOS hopscoth rug (£22).
“Let Play Unwind Your Mind,” the voiceover says at the end of the advert, which is set to the tune of Shook by American rapper, songwriter and singer Raja Kumari (Svetha Yallapragada Rao by her real name). The song, included on her 2019 album “Bloodline,” is available for purchase on Amazon for $1.29.
The retailer offers, on its website, tips on how to play away the stresses of adulting (and encourages people to dance their way to relaxation, disconnect with hide and seek, get creative in the kitchen), how to unlock the kids’ imagination, and more.
