HASK Beauty invites you to be kind to your hair in its latest commercial.
The spot features a diverse cast of women with different types of hair, from straight to curly, doing various things that damage their hair in the long term, such as using the blowdryer at a high temperature, using the hair straightener, elastics, many styling products, brushing it heavily, and more. The everyday twists and pulls hair endures also include damage caused by environmental factors such as rain, humidity, and sun.
Luckily, they discover HASK shampoos and treatments and manage to nourish their hair, thanks to these products’ special formulas.
“Hair works hard, Be Kind to it,” the voiceover says at the end of the commercial.
Serving as soundtrack is a song whose lyrics include “Why do you treat me so wrong? You could treat me so right. Why?”.
“Shampoo ads conventionally show great-looking hair but skip over the real-life things that damage hair. The women we are trying to reach do not have the time to create runway-ready hair. For them, nourished, healthy hair is beautiful hair,” said Good & Ready Co-Founder and Creative Partner Alan Madill.
The new multi-market campaign is set to run in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and the UK across multiple channels.
HASK products are available for purchase at Amazon, CVS, Target, Ulta, Walgreens & Walmart, and other fine retailers worldwide. Prices range from $2.99 to $8.99.
