Starbucks advertises its new line of energy drinks, called Baya Energy, in a new commercial.
The spot opens with a young woman dressed in a colorful outfit, drinking from a can of Pineapple Passionfruit-flavored Baya Energy. She seems to be in an exotic setting, with palm trees seen in the background, but it soon turns out that it was only a backdrop on a truck and she is actually in the bustling streets of a city, where she’s roller skating, enjoying the refreshing beverage.
At the end of the commercial, the voiceover introduces the brand’s Baya Energy range, made with caffeine naturally found in coffee, and says the tagline “Energy That’s Good”.
Launched in January 2022, the Baya Energy range, developed through the North American Coffee Partnership (NACP) – which is a joint venture between Starbucks and PepsiCo to create RTD coffee and energy products – includes three delicious fruit flavors: Mango Guava, Raspberry Lime and Pineapple Passionfruit.
The ready-to-drink beverage is crafted from caffeine naturally found in coffee fruit as well as antioxidant vitamin C for immune support, contains 90 calories and 160 mg of caffeine per 12 oz. can.
Starbucks BAYA Energy is now available nationwide in grocery stores, national retailers, convenience stores and gas stations, as well as online, for a suggested retail price of $2.89.
