Netflix has released the trailer for its upcoming Turkish series Wild Abandon.
The show, written and directed by Gunday & Saylak, revolves around Oktay, an architect who, in the haze of a midlife crisis, begins living a double life as a punk while members of his family, the Uysal family, lead their own crisis-ridden lives.
The cast includes Öner Erkan, Uğur Yücel, Haluk Bilginer, Songül Öden, İbrahim Selim, and more.
The trailer, set to the tune of The Animals’ iconic 1964 song “House of the Rising Sun”, gives viewers a glimpse at Oktay’s life, which takes a dramatic turn when he starts having panic attacks. He is shown dressing like a punk at night and joining a local community. At the same time, though, he needs to deal with challenges coming up in his family and professional life.
Wild Abandon is set to launch on the streaming service on March 30.
