Bouygues Telecom and ad agency BETC Paris highlight that “We will never stop dropping our smartphones” in the latest commercial, which focuses on the solutions the company offers to its customers.
The spot features a young couple who meet at a rooftop party and apparently fall for each other at first sight, while trying to grab a falling smartphone. As the film continues, it turns out their life together is marked by falls of a smartphone, shown in slow motion. Thus, when his mother calls, one day, he drops the phone down a staircase, and later on, when they become parents of twins and her dad calls one night, she drops the phone on the floor and breaks.
At the end of the commercial, the husband drops his phone again, right after receiving it repaired, when his life partner shows him a maternity test.
“We will never stop dropping our smartphones” the voiceover says, informing that, with “Solutions smartphone durable” all Bouygues Sensation customers get 30% off reparation costs of their smartphone across 500 Bouygues stores.
The soundtrack music is the 2001 single “Fallin'” by Alicia Keys. The song, which marked the American musician’s debut single, is included on her debut studio album, “Songs in A Minor”, and is available for purchase on Amazon for $1.29.
This discount is valid twice a year, up until 04/02/2023 for Sensation customers.
The Bouygues Telecom’s “Solutions smartphone durable” service allows the recycling and recovery of old mobiles, the sale of refurbished mobiles and the repair of its device at a lower cost up to twice a year.
According to statistics provided by the company, only 1 in 3 French people consider having their smartphone repaired in case it gets broken. This is due, most probably, to the fact that they do not know that extending the life of a smartphone by one year would reduce its carbon footprint by 30%.
