Evri, the new name and brand for Hermes, the UK’s largest dedicated parcel delivery company, has unveiled its new identity and accompanying ad campaign to launch the brand.
Created by VCCP London, the new brand campaign film follows a delivery man making deliveries in the same neighborhood for several months, under all kinds of weather conditions, and getting to know the people living there. Among them is a soon-to-be mother who gives birth and appreciates the young man’s intention to not disturb the baby’s sleep the next time he has a delivery to make at her house. Instead of pushing the ring bell, the driver chooses to gently knock on the door in order to let her know he has brought a parcel.
At the end of the ad, the tagline “Evri Delivery Made for You” flashes across the screen.
Serving as the soundtrack is Jimmy Cliff’s single “Wonderful World, Beautiful People”. The song is available for purchase on Amazon as MP3, Audio CD, Audio Cassette, and Vinyl.
The advert, directed by Bafta nominee Charlotte Regan, is set to premiere during Gogglebox and Coronation Street.
The launch of the new Evri brand is the company’s first ever above the line advertising campaign and represents the ongoing transformation of Hermes UK, a business that has tripled in size over the last five years to become a £1.5bn revenue business. It now delivers more than 700m parcels for 80% of the UK top retailers.
The campaign will run across multiple digital channels, cinema and VOD, for six months.
“Over the last couple of years especially our delivery drivers and courier services have been a real lifeline for many, and what we’ve managed to create with Evri is a powerful film, full of warm human emotion that we can all resonate with. Look out for an Evri delivery near you as we welcome back the return of reliable delivery experiences for everyone, everywhere”, Mark Orbine, Executive Creative Director at VCCP London, said in a press release.
