Dolly Parton and Miley Cyrus team up to help 5G phones shine their brightest with T-Mobile in the carrier’s Super Bowl ad.
The 76-year-old country music icon stars in a short video saying “When I see a problem, I am going to fix it.
America’s got a serious problem. So I’m going to get it off my chest.” At this point, she grabs a 5G phone from her blouse and talks about the 5G phones trapped on limited 5G networks, while an onscreen line reads “Your Verizon phone deserves more 5G bars in more places.” Parton continues her speech by telling viewers they can make a difference. “If you join T-Mobile, these phones will be able to shine their brightest. Like me, I have my own theme park,” she also says, adding the tagline “T-Mobile. Do it for the phones”.
At the end of the video she calls her goddaughter, Miley Cyrus, who asks how she can help these phones. “You got a voice. Use it,” she tells the young musician.
Another teaser, scored by Survivor’s “Eye Of The Tiger,” features Cyrus sitting on a green couch in a room that seems to be a studio, trying to write a song, but not finding the words. “What would Dolly do?” she asks.
This will be T-Mobile’s ninth Super Bowl commercial and will be airing Sunday, February 13 at 6:30 pm ET, 5:30 CT, 4:30 MT, and 3:30 PT, during the Super Bowl, which will be live on NBC.
