Netflix has released the official trailer for its upcoming original movie Rescued by Ruby, starring Grant Gustin.
Based on a true story and directed by Katt Shea from a screenplay by A Walk to Remember scripter Karen Janszen, the film revolves around State trooper Dan (Grant Gustin), who dreams of joining the K-9 Search & Rescue team, but no one will give him the chance. One day, he finds Ruby, a shelter dog that has been in seven homes but has been given up on her because of her “flaws”. According to the official synopsis, “When fate brings Dan and Ruby together, it’s their unshakable bond that helps them face their toughest challenge yet”
The cast also includes Kaylah Zander, Camille Sullivan, Tom McBeath, Sharon Taylor and Eileen Pedde.
The trailer gives viewers a glimpse at the movie plot, showing the encounter between Gustin’s character and the rescue dog and the challenges the two deal with on their mission to join the K9 team.
The song used in the trailer is the 2022 song Keep On Going by PillowTok.
Rescued by Ruby launches on Netflix next month, on March 17.
