Death on the Nile (2022 Movie) - Actress Gal Gadot

20th Century Studios has released the trailer for Death on the Nile, based on Agatha Christie’s 1937 novel of the same name.

According to the official synopsis, “Belgian sleuth Hercule Poirot’s Egyptian vacation aboard a glamorous river steamer turns into a terrifying search for a murderer when a picture-perfect couple’s idyllic honeymoon is tragically cut short. Set against an epic landscape of sweeping desert vistas and the majestic Giza pyramids, this dramatic tale of love gone wrong features a cosmopolitan group of impeccably dressed travelers and enough wicked twists and turns to leave audiences guessing until the final, shocking denouement”.

The cast includes Kenneth Branagh as Hercule Poirot, Tom Bateman, Annette Bening, Russell Brand, Ali Fazal, Dawn French, Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Rose Leslie, Emma Mackey, Sophie Okonedo, Jennifer Saunders, and Letitia Wright.

The trailer gives viewers a glimpse at the events, without revealing too much though. One thing is sure: it transports viewers to the 1930s, as many of the locations that served as inspiration for Christie’s glamorous, high society thriller are recreated. Poirot found out the identity of the murderer, who is on the Karnak boat.

The song used in the trailer is “Policy of Truth” by Depeche Mode.

Death On The Nile will be released in U.S. theaters on February 11th, 2022 and will come to Disney+ internationally later in the year after the theatrical release.
