Air Canada Christmas Commercial Song – Snow Globes

Air Canada Christmas Commercial - Snow Globes

Air Canada has released a heartwarming commercial for Christmas, highlighting that this is the season to believe.

Created by FCB Canada, in partnership with Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, the 2-minute film opens with an Air Canada pilot who brings home a snow globe for her young son to add to his growing collection. The camera then pans from the real-life shots to stop-motion and features two characters in two separate snow globes – a young man is in a cold wintry scene and a young woman in a tropical setting. The two fall in love for each other and show their feelings through small acts and gestures. The man knits a red sweater for her and, one day, the woman comes up with the idea of asking Santa what she wants. Shortly after throwing a letter sent to the North Pole into the Ocean, she finds her wish come true.

The commercial ends with the two character hugging each other in the cold wintry scene, with the woman wearing the red sweater, and the boy looking at the globe.

The soundtrack music is the 2020 single “I Saw Love” by Canadian singer-songwriter Forest Blakk, from his 2020 album “Sideways”.

“This year’s holiday brand spot, ‘Tis the Season to Believe,’ was inspired by the universally-shared experiences and emotions felt over the course of the pandemic. But this piece is also inspired by the resilience and power of love and determination that has brought us back together,” Andy Shibata, vice-president of brands at Air Canada, said in a press statement. “Slowly but surely, family and friends have been able to safely reunite and share beautiful moments together again, and we feel very fortunate to play a small part in their journeys back to one another,” he added.
