Subway Baja Steak & Jack Marshawn Lynch During Press Conference Commercial

Subway has released a new ad to promote its new Baja Steak & Jack.

The commercial, part of the sandwich chain’s “Eat Fresh Refresh” campaign, features Marshawn Lynch during a press conference talking about Subway’s new Baja Steak & Jack. “I want y’all to hear from me first,” Marshawn says, without allowing journalists to ask him questions. “If you want to be fresh, got to refresh. Like Subway. Like the new Baja Steak & Jack with tender thicker cut steak,” he declares before being interrupted by a journalist willing to know if he’s coming out of retirement or not. Lynch explains that he’s there because Subway has so much new they bought time in that press conference to talk about it. He then gets back to his previous statement, adding that the new Baja Steak also has Pepper Jack cheese, a new baja, chipotle sauce, black olive, some jalapeno.

“He can’t stop talking,” realizes the journalist, who waits for the NFL Veteran to finish his sentence.

This is not the first Subway commercial starring Lynch. Earlier this year, in January, he partnered with Subway restaurants to help guests “Go Pro” and touted the chain’s new protein-packed bowls, which allows guest to build any Footlong into a Protein Bowl, with the same portion of protein, vegetables, cheese and sauce, just without the bread.

The sandwich chain has also enlisted Serena Williams, Stephen Curry, Tom Brady and Megan Rapinoe to star in its “Eat Fresh Refresh” campaign, which announces improvements to almost every core product on the menu and a better digital and in-restaurant experience to ensure the brand delivers better choices every day.

Other ads in the campaign feature Serena Williams in a Bose commercial and even Little Bob from Bob’s Discount Furniture saying that Subway has so much new it didn’t fit in their latest ad so they bought a section of his sectional ad to inform that Subway’s new artist in Italian bread makes a delicious Footlong with bacon.
