Starling Bank Advert Song: Woman in Bank Branch Floating Up Into the Air

Starling Bank Advert Actress Flying Woman

Starling Bank, one of the UK’s leading digital challenger banks, urges you to “Set your self free from your old bank and join Starling, winner of Best British Bank 4 years in a row,” in its latest advert.

The spot, directed by Sam Pilling, features a woman in a long queue at the bank, who notices – through the glass dome above her head – a few flying starlings up in the sky and decides to set herself free. She then takes flight, leaving the other customers and bank staff in awe. She floats up into their air and soon leaves the bank branch breaking the glass dome.

The end of the video sees her up in the sky, using the Starling app on her phone as she flies, along with the line “Set yourself free from your old bank”. The Starling Bank’s tagline, “Here to change,” also flashes across the screen.

The soundtrack music is the 1966 single “I Feel Free” by the British rock band Cream, from their debut studio album, “Fresh Cream”.

The TV advert debuted on October 1st, on Channel 4 and Sky, with spots in prominent shows such as Gogglebox.

The campaign, produced by Wonderhood Studios, also includes VOD (video on demand), cinema and digital.

“When people see the campaign, we want them to feel inspired to make the change to a fairer and smarter alternative to traditional banks,” Anne Boden, CEO at Starling Bank, said in a press statement.
