London-based recipe box delivery brand Gousto promotes its services in a new advert.
The spot features a diverse cast of people cooking a variety of meals and dancing at the same time to the rhythms of different types of music to highlight the wide range of options available in the recipe boxes. A man is shown floating with some meat and vegetables, a couple are shown as DJs performing in front of a cheering crowd, but their instruments are pots and pans, a woman is shown cooking a stir fry and a man playing electric guitar.
The advert, which mixes cooking with a menu of music spanning different genres, ends with the voiceover saying “Whatever your taste, choose from over 50 recipes a week. Give it some”.
The main song used in the ad is “Enola Gay (Remastered)” by English electronic group Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, from their album of the same name, but there are other three songs each playing briefly during the first half of the video. These are “Nuggets” by Mura Masa, “One To Another” by The Charlatans, and “Rampage” by Kavinsky. The songs are available for purchase on Amazon here, here, here, and here.
