Mercedes-Benz announces that the first in the all-electric Mercedes-EQ lineup arrives this fall in its ad for the Mercedes-Benz EQS, described as the Mercedes-Benz of electric.
The spot, titled “The Arrival” and directed by Thibaut Grevet of ANORAK FILM, features the EQS falling from the sky, while the voiceover says “You’ve never seen anything quite like it. We’ve never created anything quite like it”, introducing the “All-Electric, All Mercedes EQS”.
“This is for you, world” an onscreen line reads at the end of the 30-second commercial, which is set to the tune of “In Our Dream” composed by Georg von dem Bussche of Berlin music agency playdis, with vocals provided by British singer Louise Golbey. Released on May 7 2021, the track is now available on all major streaming platforms.
The EQ range includes the EQS, featuring S-Class levels of luxury with an electric architecture all its own, the EQB, an all-terrain, all-electric SUV with optional seating for seven, scheduled to arrive in 2022, and the EQE, a mid-size sedan with E-Class lineage and electric power, scheduled to arrive in 2022.
Powered by Lithium-ion batteries, these electric vehicles can be charged at home and at nearly 60,000 public chargers nationwide.
The automaker has partnered with Electrify America for two years of complimentary 30-minute charging sessions. Electrify America has a nationwide network of more than 2,600 DC Fast Chargers and are expanding more as time goes on.
